The GrandParents Support (GPS) Network supports grandparents as they raise their grandchildren, increasing well-being for all. We connect people to resources and provide activities and information for grandfamilies to build a community of mutual support.
Our core values:
- Empowerment means that GPS programs provide access to information and opportunities to build confidence and promote self-determination.
- Support means GPS programs address the social and psychological needs of grandparents.
- Collaboration means that GPS programs are designed by teams where both professionals and grandparents have a voice.
GPS-Kansas City meets monthly on the third Thursday, 11:30 – 1 pm at Palestine Senior Citizen Activity Center.
